DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The contractor shall replace indoor power transformers with an outdoor type loop feed power transformer, NEMA 316L stainless steel enclosure, and reinforced concrete enclosure at four locations. The work also includes replacement of main distribution panel, rewiring of medium voltage (15kV) primary cables, rewiring of secondary cables (600V), rewiring of existing branch circuit feeders and automatic transfer switches (ATS). This includes the new outdoor transformer enclosures are in NEMA 316L, equipped with AMI kilowatt-hour meter compatible to existing AMI system. The work includes replacement of existing main distribution panel including branch circuit breakers with sizes to match existing. The contractor shall provide an additional 12 spaces for future provisions of the new indoor type switchboard at each building. The new transformers shall have a rating equivalent to existing and new main distribution panel shall be rated to match transformer capacity. Existing branch circuit conduits and feeders shall be intercepted and extended to new main distribution panel. MAGNITUDE (FAR 36.204): $5,000,000 - $10,000,000 LOCATION OF WORK: Andersen AFB, Guam PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: 460 calendar days RESTRICTION TO SMALL BUSINESS: This acquisition is being competed as a Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Small Business set-aside. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 237130, with a small business size standard of $39.5 million.
