NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: Pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b), 374th Contracting Squadron, Yokota AB, Japan intends to issue a sole source firm-fixed price award under solicitation FA520922A0084A to GLOBAL GROUND SUPPOR, LLC for upgrading an existing proprietary deicer simulator with associated peripherals. GLOBAL GROUND SUPPOT, LLC (CAGE: 1BP10) is the only vendor capable of providing the upgrade package for Global Deicing Trainer (Model Number: 730AMSGDT2), the VR Deicing Simulator manufactured by GLOBAL GROUND SUPPORT LLC. Only GLOBAL GROUND SUPPORT LLC can provide the upgrade software and hardware for this simulator. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). This notice is NOT a request for quote/proposal and no solicitation will be issued. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the product stated above. Deadline date for the submittals is 31 August 2022 at 1100 Japan local time. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
