NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE Project Title: Heat Treatment Oven for 374 MXS, Yokota AB, Japan Announcement No: FA5209-21-U-0048 The Government hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source firm fixed price commodity contract for purchase of the Delta H Heat Treatment Oven for the 374 MXS at Yokota AB, Japan to Phillips Corporation. The total estimated value is less than $240,000. Requirement Description: This acquisition is to provide a triple chamber furnace system for heat treatment of aluminum, steel, and titanium utilized in aircraft and support equipment maintenance. The equipment required is a multi-chamber heat treat furnace capable of adjusting the mechanical properties of aluminum, steel, and titanium. This is a Firmed Fixed Price Purchase Order for the Delta H Heat Treatment Oven. This sole source contracting action seeks an exception to full and open competition pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). This hereby constitutes a synopsis of the requirement. Responses to this notice must demonstrate that more than one responsible source exists to fulfill the stated requirement. The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice. This is NOT a request for quotes or proposals.
