NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE Project Title: CT-SCAN Rental Service for Yokota and Osan Announcement No.: FA5209-21-U-0026 The Government hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source firm fixed price commodity contract for the subject of the CT-SCAN (Computed Tomography) rental service. The total estimated value is less than $500,000. Requirement Description: This is a Firmed Fixed Price contract for rental service of a mobile CT scanner with the maintenance, installation and transportation. NAICS: 621512 CT-SCAN (Computed Tomography) Centers What: Need a Mobile CT trailer including its maintenance and transportation Quantity: 1 Unit Required Spec of CT: Undecided but TOSHIBA Aquilion or equivalent Maintenance Service: It requires commercial practices level. Emergency Support: It requires commercial practices level. Transportation: It requires the contractor to coordinate with carriers, packing/unpacking materials and installation, etc. Installation: The contractor is required to ship and install the equipment by the period of performance begin date. Where: It will be installed on Yokota AB, Japan for not less than 8 months first, and it will be transferred to Osan AFB, Korea and used potentially for 8 months The potential period of the service: 1 Aug 2021 – TBD This sole source contracting action seeks an exception to full and open competition pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b)(2). This hereby constitutes a synopsis of the requirement. Responses to this notice must demonstrate that more than one responsible source exists to fulfill the stated requirement. The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice. This is NOT a request for quotes or proposals.
