THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE FOR A MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION OR AN ANNOUNCEMENT OF A SOLICITATION. This is to identify sources that can provide services for the subject requirement and to define the Japanese commercial practice and whether or not it meets the U.S. Government’s requirement. Firms that are interested should respond to Mr. Yuma Kato via email at yuma.kato.jp@us.af.mil by 1400 hours, 22 Apr 2021 (JST) including the following: (1) name and address of firm; (2) a point of contact with name, title, phone, fax, and email; (3) CAGE (NCAGE) code and DUNS number (if available); and (4) your response to the Market Research Questionnaire DESCRIPTION: The Contractor shall furnish land transportation services for deceased personnel (human remains) from locations of human remains including, but not limited to, local hospitals, Japanese law enforcement agencies, Coroner offices, and other locations, to Yokota Air Base (AB); or from Yokota AB to Haneda/Narita airports for repatriation in accordance with (IAW) the terms and conditions of this contract and applicable Government of Japan (GOJ) laws and trade practice for land transportation. See the draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) for details. AREA OF PERFORMANCE: From locations of human remains including, but not limited to, local hospitals, Japanese law enforcement agencies, Coroner offices, and other locations, to Yokota AB and/or From Yokota AB to Haneda/Narita airports EXPECTED PERFORMANCE PERIOD: TBD ESTIMATED QUANTITY: At minimum 15 cases per year. NOTE: THIS PROJECT WILL BE PERFORMED IN ITS ENTIRETY IN THE COUNTRY OF JAPAN. THE SUCCESSFUL OFFEROR MUST BE LICENSED AND REGISTERED TO PERFORM THE SERVICE IN THE COUNTRY OF JAPAN. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not considered a commitment by the Government. This notice does not obligate the Government to solicit and award contracts nor does it obligate the Government to pay potential offerors for any costs incurred for their participation in this sources sought/market research.
