Pre-Solicitation Notice: This is a pre-solicitation notice for the Hospital Modernization project for Misawa Air Base (MAB), Japan. The work includes 225 square meters of new building additions, 1,701 square meters of renovation and temporary facilities during construction for the existing MAB Hospital. Project scope includes site-work modifications, new addition footings and foundations, structure framing, exterior wall and roof construction, demolition of existing interior construction, new interior walls, ceilings, door and finishes, new mechanical (HVAC), electrical, plumbing, communications and fire and life safety systems for the new and renovated areas. It also includes replacement mechanical systems for areas receiving no architectural renovation as well as communication, fire and life safety systems throughout the entire hospital. Departments affected by architectural renovation include Dental, Sterile Processing, Nutrition Services, Pharmacy, and Medical Records. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with the contract specifications and drawings subject to the terms and conditions of the contract. The performance period is expected to be 1,200 calendar days (CD) including 30 CD mobilization. The magnitude of this construction project in terms of the estimated price range stipulated in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, as supplemented in Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS) 236.204 is between $10,000,000.00 / ¥1,079,114,000 and $25,000,000.00 / ¥2,697,785,000 (¥107.9114 = $1.00, FY21 U.S. Government exchange rate for the purpose of this pre-solicitation notice).
