The United States Air Force, 354th Contracting Squadron, Eielson AFB, AK, awarded a firm-fixed-price purchase order for the procurement of the supply of one Boiler Room SCADA system, designed to monitor two Cleaver Brooks Hawk 4500 combustion control PLC’s. The system will include hardware, software, and related services. The purchase was executed using FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), which permits soliciting from a single source when the contracting officer determines that only one source is reasonably available. The company this was awarded to is the only responsible source capable of providing this equipment, as they are explicitly the company to install the previous equipment.
