THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR POWER UPGRADES AT THE CHARLIE BATTERY ON EIELSON AFB, AK. The U.S.A.F. is seeking potential contractors qualified to improve and expand the power infrastructure at Charlie Battery on Eielson AFB, AK. Information submitted from interested vendors will be used for informational and planning purposes only. This pre-solicitation notice IS NOT a solicitation. Interested vendors are advised that the Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice. All costs associated with responding to this notice will be solely at the interested party's expense. Non-responsive vendors are not precluded from participation in any future solicitation, if one is issued. The work shall include but is not limited to: - One 500 kVA transformer, one power drop, five power poles, associated guy wires and lines. - The transformer will be ground mounted and require a new concrete pad. A utility vault will also be required. - The power drop should be located on the same concrete pad as the transformer. - Provide underground service from a pole that has a three bank transformer on it and add a riser across the road. Business type and/or size (i.e. large business, small business, 8(a)-certified small disadvantaged business) based upon North American Industry Classification System code 237130.
