The U.S.A.F. is seeking potential contractors to perform work which includes tear down, inspect, clean and repair turbine-generator #3 and auxiliary equipment at Eielson AFB's Central Heat and Power Plant (CH&PP). Turbine-Generator #3 is a 5 MW Elliott extracting steam turbine-generator set, installed new in 1954 (Shop Order 7371, Turbine SN:17414, Generator SN:1S-9631, 5MW, 6250 kVA). Work also includes replacement of the electronic governor and the machine monitoring system. Prepare technical notes and tear-down/repair reports.The Government is contemplating a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Sealed Bid contract. The estimated magnitude is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00 IAW FAR 36.204(f). This posting is an Invitation for Bids. Bids must be valid for 90 days. Respondees are advised that the Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this solicitation; all costs associated with responding to this solicitation will be solely at the interested party's expense.
