This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources (specifically, qualified Small Businesses) and their size relative to NAICS 337124. Responses will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses are not considered responses to any potential solicitation announcement. All contractors are encouraged to respond to this sources sought. 1. Contract Information: Eielson AFB, Alaska is seeking to identify qualified business sources to provide and install miscellaneous office furniture and furnishings for the F35 Bldg 1337 Sq Ops/CVN/AMXS Facility. Seeking vendors who offer furniture of Knoll, Steelcase, Herman Miller, or similar products meeting stated requirements on the detailed listing. These components must conform to and be compatible with our existing furniture design in both aesthetics, dimensions, layout design options, and modular construction capability, for sources of equal furniture that are compatible and interchangeable with current Knoll, Steelcase, Herman Miller furniture. Specific items to be procured include, but are not limited to, workstations, office chairs, guest chairs, stools, lounge seating, executive tables, side tables, conference tables, filing cabinets, bookcases, and maintenance tables that meet specifications. The Government is performing market research in order to determine sources available that possess the capability to execute the kind of work. Interested sources should provide a completed Capabilities Statement in order to facilitate the Government's market research efforts. 2. Submission Requirements: We are anticipating this to be a small business set-aside based on historical positive responses; however, any firm that believes it can provide a product that meets the Government's need is invited to submit a completed capability statement, by 2:00PM Alaska Standard Time on 17 January 2019. This notice is for market research purposes only and IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) nor does it restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs incurred in preparation of a response to this notice. No telephone or facsimile requests will be accepted. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The contract period of performance will be approximately 4 months from contract award.
