END _____________________________________________________________________________________________ HJZH 22-1040 Repair Glenn Highway Sign consists of providing repairs and updates to the United States Army Alaska sign located along the Glenn Highway in accordance with (IAW) the Statement (SOW) (Dated 8 August 2022) of Work and attached drawings. The location can also be accessible via Dyea Ave. from Joint Base Elmendorf- Richardson, Alaska side. Project entails repairing and updating the sign, supporting structure and other minor repairs to electrical lighting and retaining walls. The stucco coating behind the wallmounted lettering shall be removed entirely and replaced. The lettering on the sign shall be removed and replaced with new lettering and unit patches as depicted on the attached drawing. The decorative CMU block walls of the sign structure shall be cleaned to remove all chemical and efflorescence staining and shall be sealed to prevent future staining. The missing mast-mounted uplighting luminaire on the flagpole lighting mast shall be replaced. Clean and seal the terraced decorative CMU retaining wall block and replace damaged units. Contractor shall furnish all design, plant, labor, equipment, supplies, materials, appliances and transportation to perform all work (IAW) the (SOW)(8 August 2022), drawings and subject to the terms and conditions of the contract. IAW FAR 36.204(a) Magnitude on this Construction Project, the price range of this project is (b) Between $25,000 and $100,000. A Site Visit has been set for 19 Sep 2022 @ 9:00 AM AKST. All are encouraged to meet in the CES parking lot of building 730 - located on Quartermaster Road, Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson (JBER), AK @ 8:30 AM AKST where departure will take place approximately @8:45 AM AKST to the construction location of the project.
