The 673 CS requires a comprehensive suite of hardware tools and materials to support the establishment of a fully functional Cable Systems shop. The requirement includes over 100 items, such as hand tools (e.g. pliers, wrenches), climbing and lifting equipment (e.g. ladders), electrical connectors and accessories (e.g. fuse connects), and storage solutions (e.g. tool chests). The tools and materials will be used to support layer 1 responsibilities, including dig permits, network repairs, and the installation of new requirements. . The requirement is for commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products that are widely available in the commercial market and can be sourced through multiple vendors.
