The Clausing lathe is a machine tool that rotates a workpiece about an axis of rotation to perform various operations such as cutting, sanding, knurling, drilling, deformation, facing, and turning, with tools that are applied to the workpiece to create an object with symmetry about that axis. This Clausing lathe is to be used in a heavy equipment repair shop at Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation FA500022Q0062 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). Only written offers will be accepted (oral offers will not be accepted. The Government intends to establish a firm fixed priced contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible contractor whose quote is most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. All firms or individuals responding must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) IAW 52.204-7.
