The 673d Contracting Squadron at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), Alaska, has awarded a firm fixed price, brand name contract to Sterling Computers Corporation under the authority of FAR 8.405-6. This contract is for the acquisition of Cisco VoIP phones and paraphernalia. This is a Class LSJ for the purchases of Cisco VoIP phones. The overall value is based on the approximate number of phones required to upgrade all phones in 673ABW. These acquisitions anticipate the use of 3400 funds. This is a new Brand Name requirement for this procurement. A firm fixed price contract was awarded and these phones are considered Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) items. This requirement was fulfilled through the US Air Force IT hardware mandatory source; the GSA 2nd Generation IT Blanket Purchase Agreements, otherwise known as 2GIT.
