North Warning System (NWS) Fixed Wing Airlift/Transportation Services.
The U.S. Air Force is seeking non-personal fixed-wing airlift services to sustain the North Warning System (NWS), which supports NORAD and Homeland Defense radar surveillance in the Canadian Arctic. The contractor must transport cargo (payloads of 2,100 to 6,000 pounds) and personnel to remote, unimproved radar sites in extreme Arctic conditions. Performance will occur entirely outside the United States, with a 12-month base contract and four one-year option periods. The acquisition is 100% full and open competition, resulting in a single Firm Fixed Price contract with Cost Reimbursable line items. No budget amount is specified, and funds are not currently available for this effort.
