The purpose of this project is for General Dynamics Mission Systems to conduct a site survey to design an AM (amplitude modulate) simulcast solution. Currently it is difficult for pilots to stick with one frequency in the area. The AM simulcast solution will minimize the problem. This project will not design the AM simulcast solution, it will allow proper planning for the AM simulcast solution. General Dynamics Missions Systems are the sole provider and/or manufacturer of the CM-300 (V2) and CM-350 (V2) radios. They are also the only air traffic control radios approved for use by the United States Air Force. They are a required component of the General Dynamics Mission Systems AM Simulcast Solution. The system that General Dynamics Missions Systems will eventually provide to was designed around the CM-300 (V2) and CM-350 (V2) radios. Due to the system being compatible with the radios General Dynamics Missions Systems is the only company who can comply with this requirement.
