This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. This is for market survey only; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. No proposals are being requested or accepted with this synopsis and no contract shall be awarded from this synopsis. This is not a solicitation for quotes, but a solicitation may be issued at a later date. No reimbursements will be made for any cost associated with providing information in response to the sources sought or any follow-up information request. The U.S. Air Force, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base (DMAFB), has been tasked to identify potential sources, market capabilities and market conditions for the acquisition of A-10C Warthog Virtual Reality Flight Simulation software and/or software development. NOTE: This a two-part SOURCES SOUGHT, Part A - Standalone Virtual Reality Flight Simulation Software and/or Part B - Standalone Virtual Reality Flight Simulation Software Development. Interested and capable commercial sources are being sought to determine the level of interest to provide Part A and/or Part B as described in the salient characteristics below. The North American Industry Classification System is 511210 - Computer software publishing and reproduction. All submittals received will be reviewed for informational purposes. The type of solicitation to be issued will depend upon the responses to this sources sought synopsis. The Government must determine and ensure there is adequate competition among the potential pool of interested, capable commercial companies. Therefore, please ensure the response clearly delineates what your company CAN and CANNOT accomplish from the requirements list. Capable and interested sources must respond to this sources sought no later than 1400 Arizona Local Time, on 10 May 2019. A. Standalone Virtual Reality (VR) Flight Simulator Software with the following salient characteristics: - Eagle Dynamics "Defense Combat Simulator Virtual Reality Flight Simulation" or equivalent program - Meets the "Commercial Item" definition in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 2 - Connection to any U.S. government terminals is not required; patches/updates/installation must be able to be accomplished via commercial internet connection - Professional Multi-User License - Product must be fully functionally to the above characteristics and compatible with standalone Virtual Reality headsets and commercial gamming flight controls (Respondents must list all compatible devices and manufacturers) - Requirement Magnitude: $250,000 - $500,000 B. Standalone Virtual Reality (VR) Flight Simulation Software Development with the following salient characteristics: - Meets the "Commercial Item" definition in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 2 - Connection to any U.S. government terminals is not required; patches/updates/installation must be able to be accomplished via commercial internet connection - Professional Multi-User License - Eagle Dynamics "Defense Combat Simulator Virtual Reality Flight Simulation" or equivalent program characteristics to modify to meet mission needs to include realistic scenario and training environment locations - Product must be fully functionally to the above characteristics and compatible with standalone Virtual Reality headset (Respondents must list all compatible devices and manufacturers - Government Purchase Rights - Requirement Magnitude: $250,000 - $500,000
