The purpose of this requirement is to replace 2 existing boilers in Bldg 600 with the same make and model boilers, Lochinvar (KBX0800N). Replacing the Lochinvar water heaters with the same model will remove the need for re-plumbing any of the supply and return lines, no need of re-wiring any of the electrical lines or thermostat wires and the vent stacks will fit perfectly with out any re-piping of the venting stacks saving the government time and money on changing the current system in order to work with a different brand of boilers.
