This is not a request for proposal (RFP). It does not constitute a solicitation and shall not be construed as a commitment by the government. Responses in any form are not offers and the government is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of this announcement. No funds are available to pay for preparation of responses to this announcement and information submitted by respondents to this technical description is strictly voluntary. This RFI is to find sources who can provide equipment with software and hardware that can provide a full diagnosis of a broken circuit card or motherboard and provides technicians with a complete and accurate repair solution in 25% of the time. Interested parties may submit technical literature/brochures on their product or solution that meet the requirement as set forth in the basic requirement included herein. Rough Order of Magnitude pricing is also requested for planning purposes. Any other relevant information may also be submitted for consideration, to aid in refinement of this requirement. THIS RFI IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. It is a market research tool being used to determine potential and eligible vendors capable of providing the equipment described herein prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a RFP. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for information received from potential sources as a result of this RFI. Respondents are notified that a formal solicitation may not necessarily result from the RFI. Availability of any formal solicitation may be announced under a separate BetaSam.gov announcement. Any requests for copies of solicitations will not be addressed since this is an RFI, not an RFP. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP. Any comments provided may or may not be included in a formal solicitation. The Government will not release any information marked as proprietary received in response to this RFI to any firms, agencies or individuals outside the Government without written permission. Please be advised all submissions become Government property and will not be returned. It is requested that interested contractors submit to the contracting office a brief capabilities statement package (no more than three (3) pages in length, single-spaced, 12-point font minimum) demonstrating ability to meet the requirement.
