The pedal boats are stored outdoors with no covering and need a way to either self-drain/self-bail, and/or have a platform type build that does not allow for the pedal boats recessed areas to retain water Pedals and steering handled by two (2) passengers located at the front of the pedal boat. Pedal boats need to be constructed of fiberglass or an equivalent. An equivalent is a material that has similar heat resistance and durability as fiberglass. Regular plastic is not acceptable due to the boats being located in the heat of South Georgia and we don’t want customers to burn themselves on non-heat resistant plastic. Durability is important as the boats will be exposed to possible rough objects in the water and outdoor elements 24/7. Each pedal boat shall include comfortable seating, safety features, and non-slip flooring for passenger safety and convenience. Handles, rails, and a hook on the front for storage purposes. Flotation: Proper buoyancy to accommodate four (4) passengers. Need to have Stainless Steel Components or an equivalent to resist rust and corrosion. If aluminum, must be marine grade 5052 or higher. Componets include: paddle wheel, steering shaft, rudder, flanges, and all components under the boat to ensure longevity of the pedal boats. Must include cost of shipping and handling to the customer. Must include a standard 1-year warranty to be provided by the contractor. Must include a brochure or drawing of the boat with specifications listed, along with the quote. Boats must be pre-assembled before delivery. All Equipment Required to Complete the pedal boat project in its entirety shall be supplied by the contractor There will be additonal people at the delivery location to help with the offload of the boats.
