The Visitors Center is the only area needing Level 8 glass and framing. **UPDATE** Updating to reflect changes and clarifications made in response to the SIte Visit Monday May 15th. Please review updated Combo/Solicitation Document, Statement of Objectives, and Q and A documents as significant changes have been made. Gatehouse glass must be Solar Bronze tint and there are 3 doors that need to be completely replaced and a 4th door that needs glass replaced. Doors need to have Level 3 solar bronze tinted glass like the gatehouse windows. Visitors Center glass and framing needs to be Level 8 and have ballistic rated cut-in trays. GENERAL STATEMENT: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items issued by the 23d Contracting Squadron, Moody AFB, Georgia. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation being issued for the requirement described herein. REQUIREMENT: Moody AFB is seeking to replace current installed ballistic glass at the two main gatehouses and to install a new ballistic glass window inside the Visitor's Center to protect personnel working the customer service desk. The gatehouse window sizes are 4 (four) 3' 10" x 4', 4 (four) 3' 10" x 2' 6", 2 (two) 5' 11" x 2' 6", 2 (two) 4' x 4', 4 (four) 4' x 2' 9", 2 (two) 5' 11" x 2' 5", and 2 (two) 4' x 4' 4". Gatehouse glass needs to be Solar Bronze Tint per the Moody AFB design standards.All the glass and framing is currently UL 752 Level 3 in both gatehouses and so the new glass will need to be level 3 in order to fit. Both gatehouses also need complete replacement of 3 doors in order to meet UL standards and a 4th door would also need glass replaced (See attached Statement of Objectives). Doors will also need to be level 3 Solar Tinted to match the gatehouse windows. The Visitor Center needs a three-pane ballistic glass customer window inside the building. The dimensions are as following: left side is 4' 1", the lower extends 3', then raises 8" then continues 9' 1 3/4", the right side is 3' 5", and the top is 11' 1/4". The glass will need two speaker boxes and trays for paperwork. Ballistic rated cut-in trays are preferred. There is currently no framing as this is a new addition. We would need Level 8 glass at the Visitors Center. SITE VISIT: A site visit will be held on Monday May 15 2023 at 1 PM EDT. While attendance is not mandatory, it is highly recommended. Vendors are encouraged to inspect the site in order to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance to the extent that information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. Please arrive at the Moody Air Force Base Visitor's Center no later than 12:30 PM EST for check-in (required for all contractors prior to entering the base). For completing the attached base pass forms please put your business name next to the "Prime Contractor" spot (where ABCD is present). Replace the name John Doe with the full name of the member requesting base access for the site visit, include date of birth (SSN is NOT to be added on the form but may be needed for check-in) and company for all additional members that may be attending. When complete, email the base pass to maria.jimenez.5@us.af.mil no later than Friday May 12 2023 at 2 PM EDT. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date. In the event the Government cancels this solicitation, the Government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs.
