Moody AFB is seeking potential sources capable of providing and installing ballistic glass at guard facilities and the visitor’s center. Firms that respond shall provide clear evidence that they can meet or exceed the specifications. The ballistic glass must meet or exceed the performance requirements of UL 752 Level III or better, which includes protection against the penetration of various handgun rounds. Technical Specifications: Compliance with UL 752 Level III or better. Resistance to penetration by various handgun rounds, including but not limited to .357 Magnum, .44 Magnum, and 9mm Luger. Glass thickness, composition, and design that meets or exceeds the ballistic performance requirements. Installation services, including the provision of all necessary hardware, framing, and other materials for a complete and secure installation. Compliance with any relevant building codes, regulations, or standards related to ballistic protection and glass installation. Measurements: 4 (3' 9" x 4') 4 (3' 9" x 2' 6") 2 (5' 11" x 2' 6") 2 (4' x 4') 4 (4' x 2' 9") 2 (5' 11" x 2' 5") 2 (4' x 4' 4") Attached is a diagram of the dimensions needed for the visitor’s center.
