This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. SOLICITATION #: FA483022- Q0020 This combined synopsis/solicitation is issued as a Request For Quotes EOD Portable X-Ray. Additional Details: 820 BDG has the need to be able to take images of the internal structure and composition of myriad shapes, sizes, and materials. We need a platform that is fairly rugged, so that it can be used in inhospitable environments. We need a platform that allows us to operate it remotely, in the event that the act of passing x-rays triggers the explosive train. It needs to be relatively light and compact for ease of transportation. An overly large, bulky, or heavy system will be underutilized in operational missions, having to make way for other equally, or more necessary equipment and/or materiel. The remote communication package cannot interfere with our robotics platform, our communications platform, or our remote firing system. The x-ray system must not require internet connectivity, it must be on a stand-alone platform. There must be accompanying software to allow for the adjustment of images that have been taken. It must allow for images to be stored in multiple common file types, to include, but not limited to, PDF, JPEG, BMP, PNG, and GIF. It must also come with a parts and service warranty.
