The U.S. Air Force is conducting market research, not a request for proposal, to identify qualified sources and determine whether C-UAS netting installation can be set aside for small businesses. The work includes design, materials, labor, equipment, fabrication, installation, testing, and any structural modifications needed to install counter-UAS netting on all four sides of six existing aircraft sunshade structures, each about 630 ft long, 65 ft wide, and 30 ft high with 6 bays. Minimum technical requirements include UV/moisture resistance up to 400°F, polyester or nylon preferred, tensile strength of at least 200 lbs, mesh openings no larger than 3 inches, Miami-Dade wind-load compliance, quick retractability on north- and south-facing sides, and licensed professional engineering support. Interested parties are encouraged to submit a capabilities package of no more than 10 pages covering company/socioeconomic status, relevant past performance, technical approach, structural engineering experience, innovative C-UAS solutions, and optional ROM pricing and estimated period of performance.
