THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY; THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION, SPECIFICATIONS, OR DRAWINGS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME The 325th Contracting Squadron is publicizing this SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE in order to gather industry information from any firms that have an interest in submitting as a Prime Contractor capable of performing the predominance of work described below which may be subject to subcontractor pass through constraints, for a potential Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order contract to facilitate the transition of the breakdown, movement, reinstall, testing, repair and/or replacement of the Radar Approach Control (RAPCON) systems and consoles to an alternate facility, as well as the testing, repair and/or replacement of Aircraft Traffic Control Tower systems and consoles installed in the Aircraft Traffic Control Tower at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida 32403. This Sources Sought should not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or to ultimately award a contract. Neither unsolicited proposals nor any other kinds of offers will be considered in response to the Sources Sought. This Sources Sought is in no way binding upon the Government. The Government will not be held responsible to pay for any costs incurred by interested parties for information submitted in response to this request. The information will be used to facilitate acquisition planning; any proprietary information will be handled accordingly. The determination of an acquisition strategy, based upon comments submitted by interested parties in response to this Sources Sought is solely within the discretion of the Government. A date has not been set at this time regarding when the solicitation will be issued. Any future solicitation, including specifications and/or drawings, will be made available only on the Federal Business Opportunities website (https://www.fbo.gov/). Interested Parties are solely responsible for monitoring the aforementioned website for the release of a solicitation package and/or any updates and/or amendments. Program Objectives: The 325th Operations Support Squadron needs to transition its RAPCON system and consoles from its current facility to another on Tyndall Air Force Base, and also to return the system to a fully mission capable status. Work to be performed may include, but is not limited to, the breakdown, movement, reinstall, testing, repair and/or replacement, and certification of the Radar Approach Control (RAPCON) systems and consoles as well as minor construction incidental to the fitting and installation of the systems in the new facility. This may also include furnishing, installation, termination and testing of 72-strand single-mode F/O cable from Bldg. 216 to Bldg. 1285. Terminate all strands using SC connectors. This installation should be able to utilize existing manhole/duct system, which will have to be validated. Approximate distance is 2.25 miles Additionally, the 325th Operations Support Squadron needs its Aircraft Traffic Control Tower systems and consoles returned to a fully mission capable status. Work to be performed may include, but is not limited to, the breakdown, movement, reinstall, testing, repair and/or replacement, and certification of the of the systems and consoles located in the Aircraft Traffic Control Tower on Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida.
