The National Defense Strategy (NDS) directs the department to “Bias toward the creation, experimentation, and evaluation of concepts and capabilities that incorporate emerging technologies, to include AI/ML enabled capabilities, to aid longer-term modernization and future force proficiency.” Future investment is critical in moving USCENTCOM towards this effort to the benefit of the Joint Force and forging a culture of persistent all-domain awareness without relying on excessive posture that drains NDS resources. USCENTCOM is shifting towards a data-centric environment that understands, leverages, and exploits data, and is prepared through rapid iteration to achieve success and transmit lessons learned for the broader department exploitation.
