This is a contract to provide a Commercial off the Shelf Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Asset Management System that will automate management and tracking of multiple physical assets. Description of Requirement: The contractor shall provide equipment, tools, and materials, required to perform asset tracking and location logging up to 7500 assets. Additionally, the contractor shall provide training and telephone support/consolidation for the provided system. Background: The system requested is to replace manual tracking of IT equipment. The use of manually tracking assets through spreadsheets and logs has proven to be cumbersome, time consuming and overall not productive in keeping accountability of inventory. The desired system will decrease the number of man-hours needed to track and locate assets as well as records management. In addition, allow simultaneous updates to inventory logs increasing the efficiency of asset control and distribution. See attached Statement of Work for further details.
