THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract under statutory authority Section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996 as implemented by FAR 13.501 (a), "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements." This requirement is for a specified brand name for repairing, upgrading and reconfiguring existing furniture workstation consoles for the United States Central Command (USCENTCOM). The 6th Contracting Squadron intends to make an award to the Evans Consoles, Incorporated. Interested parties may e-mail yonathan.haile@us.af.mil, no later than Wednesday, July 31, 9:00am EST. V. DEMONSTRATION THAT THE CONTRACTORS UNIQUE QUALIFICATIONS OR NATURE OF THE ACQUISITION REQUIRES THE USE OF THE AUTHORITY CITED ABOVE (APPLICABILITY OF AUTHORITY). USCENTCOM requires support for repairing, upgrading and reconfiguring existing furniture workstation consoles. Evans Consoles, Incorporated consoles are uniquely designed for their specific purpose, and Evans is the only company that provides the technicians and parts to do the necessary repairs, upgrades, and reconfiguration on these consoles while at the same time keeping the consoles under warranty.
