The 20th Contracting Squadron, Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina announces the anticipated release of Solicitation Number FA480321B0001 being issued as an Invitation for Bid (IFB). All applicable provision and clauses will be included in the actual solicitation. This electronic announcement constitutes the pre-solicitation notice. Brief description of work: - The contract is for an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract and shall encompass a wide variety of individual construction tasks as listed in the R.S. Means® Construction Task Catalog (e4 Clicks®). The individual requirements will vary in size and complexity to include a broad range of maintenance, repair, alteration and minor construction projects to real property. Work will be performed in support of Base Civil Engineer activities at Shaw AFB, South Carolina, Poinsett Range, and Wateree Recreation Area. Requirements will use a variety of trades including but not limited to concrete, masonry, carpentry, plumbing, heating and air conditioning, interior/exterior electrical, roofing, pavement repair, excavation, welding, painting, site development/ landscaping, asbestos abatement/removal, lead abatement/removal/ encapsulation, and demolition. During the contract period, individual task orders will be issued to the contractor for specified projects. Performance period for each project will be specified in each individual task order. Place of performance: Shaw Air Force Base, Poinsett Weapons Range, and Wateree Recreation Facility, South Carolina Tentative Dates: IFB: Will be available on or about 4 December 2020 Opening Bids: Will be on or about 19 Jan 2021. The issuance of the IFB will be the driver of the bid open dates. Once IFB is released Bid Due and Bid Open dates will be detailed within the IFB. Completing Contract Performance: The IDIQ Base Year will be for a period of twelve (12) months, with six (6) twelve (12) month option periods. Government reserves the unilateral right to exercise each Option period. The government reserves the right to award an additional 6 month period at the end of the contract, if needed. Plans: Any plans associated with the Seed Project for the IDIQ will be provided when the IFB is posted. Set Aside: The IFB once issued will be set-aside to Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) firms; all others will be deemed non-responsible. Contract award will be based on Sealed Bid – FAR Part 14. In accordance with FAR Part 14.408-1(a); award will be made to the responsible bidder whose bid, conforming to the invitation, will be most advantageous to the Government, considering only price and price-related factors included in the invitation.
