WWTP operations and maintenance are conducted in order to provide continuous, cost effective, and efficient treatment of all wastewater delivered to the facility. Operations include general operation of plant equipment, valves and piping, sampling and lab analyses, waste and effluent disposal, and other related services on the 20+ year-old facility which is an activated sludge treatment plant for a base population of approximately 15,626. All operations shall be accomplished in accordance with the treatment plant operations manuals where applicable. Contractor employees in charge of plant operations, must possess a current wastewater treatment certification issued by the state of New Mexico IAW NMAC 20.7.4.13, and shall adhere to all applicable health and safety standards/requirements.
