Building 1030 currently functions as a United States Air Force Military Working Dog (MWD) Kennel. The building has undergone numerous renovations since its conception. This upcoming renovation will function to bring the kennel up to current standards. This facility is essential to the training and health of each MWD. There are a few key components to the project that exist. First, a complete gut of existing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. The existing HVAC system does not supply enough air changes as required per the Kennel Design Guide and has led to terrible odor and health concerns. The system will be replaced with a Dedicated Outside Air System (DOAS) that will meet the required air changes. Part of DOAS installation will be the required installation of three-phase power to the building from a nearby switch. Currently, the building exists only on single phase power. Another key component will be a complete rework and improvement of the interior kennel structures to expand individual kennel cells to meet square footage requirements per the Kennel Design Guide. Please review the attached Statement of Work, Drawings, and Specifications. If you have questions or concerns about the contract documents, please submit to the government for review. These industry questions may not be responded to; however, the government may utilize the questions to refine the requirement and project documents.
