Joint Base Langley-Eustis is looking to upgrade/repair its PARASIM Parachute Simulator. The upgrade includes the latest system software, basic head mounted display, high resolution head tracker, steering line control box, and training and installation of the new equipment. The current PARASIM is no longer functional and is in desperate need of an upgrade. This system needs to be a stand-alone simulator capable of suspending a human being in order for them to simulate a bailout/parachuting scenario. It should be tested and approved for safe operations. Due to technological advances, we would also like to explore and consider other options than PARASIM if they exist.
