In 2014, Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota entered into a 20-year blanket ordering agreement (FA4690-14-G-0001) with the South Dakota Ellsworth Development Authority (SDEDA) to connect the Ellsworth AFB wastewater collection system into the new SDEDA Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant located in the adjacent city of Box Elder, South Dakota. SDEDA installed an interceptor gravity sewage line from Ellsworth's current Wastewater Treatment Plant to the new SDEDA Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant. SDEDA treats all sewage and wastewater generated from Ellsworth AFB. The service replaced existing wastewater treatment service after the deactivation of Ellsworth AFB's wastewater treatment facility. This action is for a 1-year Task Order for service 9 July 2024 - 8 July 2025. The Basic Ordering Agreement is for the period 9 July 2014 - 8 July 2034.
