Statement of Need for Directional Fans in Dock 8 (9 AMXS) (Amendment 1) PURPOSE: To install 6ft Directional Fans (4 per Hanger) to reduce the infiltration of birds into the hanger. Fans will be side mounted around the hanger. In addition to bird abatement, the fans will provide a perceived cooling effect of 5-14 deg for any Airmen working within the air flow zone. This will increase productivity and aid in reducing heat stress. REQUIREMENTS: 8 - Directional Fan Kit, Pivot 2, 6', 100-125V/1P 8 - Pivot Mount Kit, Column Mount The four fans in the south hanger will need to be at a lower/quieter decibel. Protective baskets around the fans and a wall mounted switch placed at consumer height.
