To upgrade the 9th Security Forces Squadron (SFS) supply warehouse Space Saver carriages with new electronics. The current electronics installed in the Space Saver carriages have become obsolete and have exceeded warranty. Additionally, the current electronic parts to continue maintenance no longer exist. The system secures high dollar and contingency supplies to support security operations. The most affordable option is to replace the electronics instead of a complete replacement. Using another vendor will void the warranty on the carriages. The upgrade will not require construction. The only labor would be to disassemble and remove existing storage equipment and installation of new electronics. The upgrade will expand the operating life cycle of the carriages securing over $1M inventory. Finally, Space Saver’s new electronics have a 10-year part and labor warranty.
