DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT OF QUESTIONS: The Q&A period closed on 29 March 2021, 3:00 P.M. CST. Answers are posted below. SUBMISSION OF OFFERS: The offeror is not required to use Page 2 of the attached RFQ as a quote template. However, if not used, all of the information requested on Page 2 must be included. Offerors shall complete and return FAR Provision 52.204-6 Covered Telecommunications Equipment or Services-Representation. DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT OF OFFERS: 7 April 2021, 3:00 P.M. (CST). All quotes shall be emailed to maren.quinones-burgess@us.af.mil. Evaluation of Offers: The evaluation for this acquisition will be solely based on lowest price of items that are found to be technically acceptable. By signing its offer, the offeror certifies that each price stated on each CLIN includes an appropriate apportionment of all costs, direct and indirect, all state and local taxes, overhead, and profit. Funds are not presently available for this contract. The Government’s obligation under this contract is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made. No legal liability on the part of the Government for any payment may arise until funds are made available to the Contracting Officer for this contract and until the Contractor receives notice of such availability, to be confirmed in writing by the Contracting Officer. Questions and Answers: Q1. Could you please provide drawings and / or a Bill of Material for Building 8032? A1. Please see the newly uploaded “Attch 5” in the attachments section of this solicitation. Q2. Do we need to charge sales tax on this project? A2. This project will be tax-exempt since it will be paid with U.S. Air Force appropriated funds. Please reference FAR 29.305 and Texas taxpayer ID number 32002729625. Q3. Is there an access control enrollment station which can be used for this location for the door they would like access control? A3: Badges will be made and issued in another facility. Once created, enrollment for access to Bldg 8032 will occur onsite. Q4. What type of fiber and connector is present for the security system? a. The customer had mentioned Fiber was already installed from the network switch to the current enclosure…is this single-mode or multi-mode and what type of connector is on the fiber? A4. The fiber is single mode. The connectors are ST If Vindicator requires a SC Or LC connector that would be accomplished by a patch cable configured to have ST connectors to LC OR SC ordered to length needed. Q5. What model is the X-10 lock on the main door? A5. The X series lock on the door is an X-10. Q6. Does the main door which ACS is wanted have a powered hinge connected to the X-10 lock? A6. No. Q7. All devices that are end of life or not on the Air Force approved equipment list, must be upgraded? A7. We are looking for a total replacement of the existing alarm system with the intent to completely replace and modernize all existing alarm components with Vindicator. Q8. All conduit and cable can be re-used for the upgrade? A8. Conduit can be reused. Preference is for new cable to be used as existing cable may have issues. Q9. Will we have access to the Vindicator headend system for programming? A9. Yes.
