The WCS would enable dynamic storage (no alphabetization) for bagged medications and provide instantaneous retrieval for one or multiple bags. Return-to-stock would drastically be improved due to software features that permit the pharmacy to light all bags that have been in will call for determined return-to-stock dates. System would eliminate handout errors and “lost” prescriptions. Multiple windows would be allowed to hand out medications simultaneously since the hangers/bags can light seven different colors with various flash rates. When patient medications are loaded into bags, WCS software would not allow two separate patients to be loaded into same bag, preventing errors from occurring. Numerous reports would be available to track/report all aspects of will call. WCS would be interfaced with CHCS to retrieve patient prescription information and patient data to identify patient during prescription hand out.
