Asbestos Removal and Flooring Installation: The contractor will be responsible for: removing non-friable asbestos materials, carpeting, etc. as specified by the Contract Officer (CO) installing new carpeting, flooring, cove molding, etc. as specified by the CO Refer to the Accredited Asbestos Inspection Report dated 16 Mar 2018 for detailed information regarding materials involved with this PWS. The Category I asbestos floor tiles, mastics, etc. are non-friable. The contractor shall remove these non-friable materials in compliance with Montana and Federal statutes and regulations. If these materials are removed in a non-friable manner, asbestos abatement permitting will not be required.
