The Contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, parts and labor necessary to maintain, repair, and inspect the real property vertical transportation equipment (VTE) at Malmstrom Air Force Base (MAFB), both on the main base and at remote Missile Alert Facilities (MAFs), in a manner that will ensure continuous and safe operation. IAW FAR Subpart 2.1, Definitions, a commercial item is defined as, ''Services of a type offered and sold competitively in substantial quantities in the commercial marketplace based on established catalog or market prices for specific tasks performed or specific outcomes to be achieved and under standard commercial terms and conditions.” The requirement for elevator maintenance, repair, and inspection is sold competitively in substantial quantities in the commercial marketplace. Therefore, this requirement is determined to be commercial.

This procurement is for a non-personal service to provide routine and emergency elevator maintenance both base side and at remote Missile Alert Facilities (MAFs) for an estimated total of 18 elevators. This is to include all labor, tools, supplies, equipment, parts, vehicles, supervision, transportation, and other items necessary to perform as stated in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). The Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be available on or about 20 December 2019. The Request for Quotation will close on or about 20 January 2020. The period of performance for this requirement is estimated at 1 March 2020 through 28 February 2025. This requirement will be solicited as full and open. The Request for quotation will be available by Electronic Transmission only at: https://beta.sam.gov/. Potential contractors must be currently registered in the System for Award Management to be eligible for award. (See internet site: sam.gov).
