The 341st Contracting Squadron is seeking potential alternate products/sources to the following brand name product. The government anticipates issuing a commercial request for quotation (RFQ) for a SCORPION MODEL 800-ST HYDRAULIC CHAIN TONG OR EQUAL with the following specifications: SCORPION MODEL 800-ST HYDRAULIC CHAIN TONG. BASE UNIT INCLUDES 7 LINKS PER CHAIN FOR A WORKING O.D OF 5-1/2" TO 11". THIS KIT INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING: -CART-MOUNTED 7HP DIESEL POWER PACK -CART CUSTOMIZED WITH 10'' X 4" SKIDS -REDUCER PACKAGE WITH ADJUSTABLE EYEBOLTS -EXTRA 8 LINKS, (4 PER ARM) TO REACH 16" OD -TORQUE-SHARK FOR TORQUE READOUTS -PACKAGED IN CUSTOMIZED WOOD CRATE -ADDITIONAL VALVE FOR ABILITY TO INDEPENDENTLY LIMIT MAKEUP TORQUE -SCORPION SPARE PARTS PACKAGE This proposed contract is being considered as a total small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code proposed for the requirement is 333515, Machine Tool attachments and accessories manufacturing, FSC is 3990, Miscellaneous Materials Handling Equipment. The size standard for NAICS 333515 is 500 employees.
