RFP questions due: 5:00 P.M. Central Time on 09 June 2022 Email to: 509CONS.PKA.Services@us.af.mil This requirement consists of maintaining the Runway Weather Information System (RWIS). The primary use for the RWIS is to monitor weather and surface conditions by the Pavements and Grounds Shop. Information provided by this system allows for the advanced and timely warning for application of chemicals during inclement weather, which is mission essential. This information is essential to snow/ice removal on the runway and air field pavement operations.The contractor shall provide all services, materials, equipment, personnel, parts, and labor to maintain the RWIS. This system includes, but is not limited to, in-pavement sensors, power supply/signal processor units, terminal data processing units, and date display units/printers. The RWIS equipment is proprietary to the manufacturer (Vaisala) and in order for the successful oferror to perform maintenance, the customer requires system specific certifications for the technician performing work on the system. If an uncertified technician were to service the RWIS currently on Whiteman AFB, it will void all warrantied hardware and potentially damage the current system.
