PURPOSE: The purpose of the sources sought is to identify available authorized businesses that are capable of constructing and delivering 12 SERE “Escape” sheds. These sheds are required to house and facilitate the training through practical exercises both ‘in’ and ‘out’ of training scenarios. This sources sought notice is for informational and planning purposes only. Pricing information is not being requested at this time. It does not constitute a solicitation and is not to be considered as a commitment by the Government REQUIREMENT: This notice is issued by the U.S. Air Force, 92d Contracting Squadron, Fairchild AFB, WA. This sources sought is seeking to identify responsible potential contractors capable of supplying SERE “Escape” sheds meeting the following specifications: Each shed must meet the following requirements: Shed must be between 8’ x 8’ to 9’ x 9’ in dimensions. No taller than 12’. Size required to fit through garage doors and must not exceed 10’. Shed must be outdoor variety with waterproof roofing. Roof may be flat or angled. Sheds must be transportable via forklift. Exterior door must be between 30”-32” x 76”-80” in size. Must have a metal frame and metal hinges. Must have 2 locks, one a 5-pin pin-tumbler style keyed doorknob lock and other must have 5-pin pin-tumbler style dead bolt lock. Must have two windows on different facing walls. They must be horizontal slide two pane glass or see through plastic. Size must be between 3’-4’wide by 3’-4’ tall. Must have a flat ceiling covered with drywall or equivalent and have a small attic space at least 2’ in height at tallest point. Must have basement crawl space minimum 6”. Must have internal lighting with minimum of two functioning light fixtures that are able to be plugged in to external power source with standard 110v cord. No outlets in the shed are required. Must be able to ‘self-maintained’ (replace windows, patch holes in wall, replace door etc) ANTICIPATED NAICS/SIZE STANDARD: This requirement falls under the NAICS Code of 321992, with a size standard of 500 Employees. SUBMISSION OF INFORMATION: All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request that will be considered for contract award. All interested parties will be required to respond to the resultant solicitation separately from their response to this sources sought notice. A responsible potential source shall have registered with the System for Award Management (SAM).
