A brief description of the requirement is as follows: The purpose of this requirement is to replace approximately (6) severed 12-strand Single Mode fiber optic cables, and (1) 24-strand cable at the corner of 43rd and 1st Street, Fairchild AFB WA. Work will require contractor to pull each severed fiber back to an existing 2’ X 3’ hand hole indicated in Appendix C. Use this location as the consolidation and splicing location for one end of the fiber repair. A new 96 strand single mode outdoor rated OS2 shielded fiber will be installed from the existing hand hole, through existing roll pipe under 43rd Street to existing Fiber Distribution Box (FDB) outside of bldg. 6129. Splice the other end of the 96-strand fiber into the existing FDB outside bldg. 6129 using existing splicing trays and LIU. Provide end to end test results from Bldg. 2392 Main Distribution Frame to Bldg. 6129 FDB.
