PURPOSE: The purpose of the sources sought is to identify available authorized businesses to provide the required product or an "or equal" product. This sources sought notice is for informational and planning purposes only. Pricing information is not being requested at this time. It does not constitute a solicitation and is not to be considered as a commitment by the Government. REQUIREMENT: This notice is issued by the U.S. Air Force, 92d Contracting Squadron, Fairchild AFB, WA. This sources sought is seeking to identify responsible potential sources to provide one (1) Creaform HandySCAN Black Elite 3D Scanner, software to include SmartDENT, laptop, and other accessories for the purpose of eliminating the necessity for Fabrication technicians to evaluate aircraft structural dents and gouges. It is currently believed that the only SAM registered business able to provide the requirement is Creaform. Salient characteristics are as follows: • 3D Scanner o The unit must be handheld, weigh less than 2lbs or less and be able to be used with one hand. o The unit must use 2M self-positioning laser technology o The unit must be accurate within and have a measurement resolution of 0.025 to 0.030 mm o The unit must have a measurement rate of at least 1,000,000 measurements/second o The unit must have a scan range of at least 300mm • Software o The vendor must supply a surface dent evaluation software compatible with Microsoft Excel 2010 or greater to include 1 year of software maintenance and licensee for technical support o The vendor must supply a software capable of 3D scan post-treatment that directly integrates into any 3D printing or CAD software o The vendor must supply software capable of quality control and reverse engineering of 3D scans • Laptop Zbook G5 Laptop Computer - 1 TB SSD - 64 Gb or equivalent with the following characteristics: o Intel Core i7-8850HQ or equivalent o Nvidia Quadro P5200 16 Gb or equivalent o Windows 10 Pro 64 bits o 17" LED FHD anti-glare o 64 GB 2666DDR4 o 1 TB SSD • Accessories o The vendor must supply at least 250 magnetic positioning targets and 500 contoured positioning targets o The vendor must deliver a portable workstation with pre-cut foam for protection of 3D scanner, all-terrain wheels for ease of portability, a 10 inch or greater tablet for use in tighter areas where a laptop would not fit. Additionally the workstation must include magnetic support for the 3D scanner and tablet to increase security and protection of the units. ANTICIPATED NAICS/SIZE STANDARD: This requirement falls under the NAICS Code of 334118, Computer Terminal and Other Computer Peripheral Equipment Manufacturing, with a size standard of 1,000 EMP. SUBMISSION OF INFORMATION: All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request that will be considered for contract award. All interested parties will be required to respond to the resultant solicitation separately from their response to this sources sought notice. A responsible potential sources shall have registered with the System for Award Management (SAM).
