PURPOSE: The purpose of the sources sought is to identify available authorized businesses to provide the required product or an "or equal" product. This sources sought notice is for informational and planning purposes only. Pricing information is not being requested at this time. It does not constitute a solicitation and is not to be considered as a commitment by the Government. REQUIREMENT: This notice is issued by the U.S. Air Force, 92d Contracting Squadron, Fairchild AFB, WA. This sources sought is seeking to identify responsible potential sources to provide two (2) sets of the Mattracks 175YS3-SA-SYSTEM for the purpose of traveling on mountainous forest roads during winter driving conditions. It is currently believed that the only SAM registered business able to provide the requirement is Mattracks. Salient characteristics are as follows: • Can be used on 2010 Chevy 3500 Vans and 2011 Chevy 3500 6-Pak 4x4 vehicles WITHOUT alterations to the vehicles • Ability to be easily removed/installed • Capable of carrying weight up to 15,000 pounds • Ability to be equipped with an assisted steering capability upgrade system allowing for maneuvering in smaller spaces and safer transport due to less strain on the suspension system ANTICIPATED NAICS/SIZE STANDARD: This requirement falls under the NAICS Code of 441310, Automotive Parts and Accessories Stores, with a size standard of $15.0M. SUBMISSION OF INFORMATION: All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request that will be considered for contract award. All interested parties will be required to respond to the resultant solicitation separately from their response to this sources sought notice. A responsible potential sources shall have registered with the System for Award Management (SAM).
