SYNOPSIS/PRESOLICITATION NOTICE THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. This announcement constitutes only the pre-solicitation notice; bids will be requested and a written solicitation will be issued on or around 23 May 2019. Bids will be due approximately 30 calendar days after the solicitation is posted. A solicitation is being issued as an INVITATION FOR BID (IFB). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-101. All applicable provisions and clauses are included in the actual solicitation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220, and the small business size standard is $36,500,000.00. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: The Government intends to issue a firm fixed price construction contract with a Period of Performance (PoP) of 124 calendar days. This project consists removing and replacing the insulated metal panel and glazing systems at the catwalk level and above as well as remove and replace weathered sealant materials in the Air Control Tower Envelope. Also remove intumescent fireproofing from face of exposed steel and replace with new 2 hour intumescent fire protection on exposed steel. In the event the Government cancels this solicitation, the Government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs.
