The 436 Contracting Squadron is conducting this solicitation to identify contractors who possess the capability to provide the services identified in the Attachment 1 - PWS for Stratasys Printer Maintenance Service. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE: The 436 MXS Fabrication Flight is in need of a base year plus 1 option year of maintenance service to provide an annual preventative maintenance service and a remedial maintenance service, if needed to the Additive Manufacturing Machine, model number 450mc manufactured by Stratasys. This machine will be used to 3D print accurate tools and fixtures and replaceable parts for the aircrafts. An operational 450mc is the ideal on-demand solution for cost-effective manufacture of low-volume and bridge-to-production parts. Tool-less 3D printing means parts can be produced much faster and for lower cost, bypassing the traditional supply chain. Currently, the machine is not certified and not functional and is sitting in the fabrication building. This requirement will require a contractor that is in compliance with the Technical Order (T.O.) 34A-1-1, Additive Manufacturing Qualification of Technicians, Machines and Facilities as mandated by AMC Instruction 21-105. T.O. set in place to ensure quality standards are being followed to keep aircrafts in mission ready posture.
