This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for a commercial item, prepared in accordance with (IAW) the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. 2. The 65th Contracting Flight at Lajes Field, Azores, Portugal is issuing this combined synopsis/solicitation, FA448620Q0007, as a Request for Quote (RFQ) using FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, & FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This solicitation is for two (2) TRIMBLE R12 GNSS Systems with TSC7 Controllers and one (1) TRIMBLE S7 Total Station, with accessories, to include delivery. This acquisition is for items with the brand name TRIMBLE, with a NAICS code of 334519- Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing. Complete specifications of each item required are attached to this solicitation as Item Description. 3. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price contract, IAW FAR 16.202. This solicitation will result in a single award. Please be advised that this RFQ in no manner obligates the Government regarding award of a contract that results from the issuance of this solicitation. Vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at www.sam.gov to be considered for award. The Government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this solicitation. If at any time the Government determines that the requested services are no longer required, the Government reserves the right to cancel the solicitation and not make an award. This announcement does not commit the Government of award a contract. 4. Interested offerors can find specific instructions in attached SF1449 as Instrs., Conds., and Notices to Offerors. 5. Offerors shall be aware that the ultimate destination is for a remote location, with a strict 30 day period for delivery. It is critical that the quotes reflect the offeror’s capability to abide by this. 6.
