The 65TH Contracting Flight at Lajes Field, Azores, Portugal is issuing this combined synopsis/solicitation as a Request for Quote (RFQ) using FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13. The item being solicited is a telescopic boom platform lift of a specific model – MANITOU 280 TJ, or equal. IAW FAR 52.211-6, offers of "equal" products must meet the salient physical, functional, or performance characteristics specified in this solicitation. Clear identification of the item by brand name, if any, and make or model number are required. The information submitted must be sufficient for the Government to assess the technical capability of these items to fulfill the same or similar end result as the solicited model. Complete specifications of the requirement are attached to this solicitation as Product Description. Offerors shall be aware that Lajes Field is situated in a remote location. Shipping costs shall be included in the quote when submitting. Read carefully the Shipping Instructions in the Deliveries or Performance section of the attached solicitation. Detailed instructions are provided for two shipping options.
