The purpose of this announcement is to post the J&A for the modification of Task Order number FA448425F0045 under IDIQ contract number FA448420D0004 to incorporate additional work for the installation of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning system and the demolition/removal of the existing chiller and fence to include concrete. In accordance with FAR 16.505(b)(2)(i)(C), the modification will be executed on a sole-source basis in the interest of economy and efficiency. It constitutes a logical follow-on to the existing Task Order number FA448425F0045. This additional requirement, not anticipated under the original contract scope, results in an estimated price increase of $320,188.32, thereby adjusting the Task Order value from $1,128,288.98 to $1,448,477.30. NOTE: This posting IS NOT a request for proposals or quotes, but rather a synopsis of a modification to an existing Task Order. The synopsis is being posted as a matter of transparency and due diligence. The additional work to the existing Task Order is explained and justified in the attached J&A to this announcement.
